Here are some examples of helpful ways to use filters on this dashboard:

Tip

Use multiple filters at once!

Filter

Use and Example

Geographic (i.e. State, County, City, Zipcode)

Use geographic filters to see program summary information in a specific geographic area.

Note: Geographical filters are hierarchical, meaning that the larger geographic filter must be selected before smaller geographic filter opinions are visible. (i.e.,. Filter on a specific state to see county filter options.)

Example: How many local food programs exist in Travis County?

Category

Use the Category filter to see program summary information for programs that provide services for the category.

Example: How many programs that address food needs are in our service area?

Program Tag (i.e. Service Tag or Situation Tag)

Use the program tag filters to see program summary information for programs that have that specific service or situation tag.

Example: How many programs that provide Emergency Food services in our service area are claimed?

Frequently Asked Question

I filtered the dashboard for a specific category. Why do the Program and Organizations by Category tables show data in categories outside of the category I filtered for?

Answer: A single program can address multiple needs! For example, a housing program may also provide education and childcare support. That means that the program would count in the housing, education and care categories.
